Minocqua Chain

Welcome to the Minocqua Chain, also known as the Tomahawk - Minocqua Chain! 

There's nothing more exciting than finally driving over the bridge towards downtown Minocqua on a hot summer day and seeing boats jetting by on the gorgeous Minocqua chain. 

This chain is made up of 6 lakes including Minocqua, Kawaguesaga, Tomahawk, Little Tomahawk, Mud and Mid.  

Tomahawk is a 3,462 acre lake southeast of Minocqua making it the largest body of water in the Minocqua chain. With tons of room for water activities, this lake's clear water and 84 ft. maximum depth makes for an amazing lake to spend the day swimming, boating, skiing, fishing, and the list goes on! Park your boat at Lakeside Grill for a bite to eat, anchor at the famous Otter Slide or pass by the girls at Clearwater Camp on the gorgeous Tomahawk Lake. Little Tomahawk connects to the south-end of Tomahawk Lake with 163 acres of clear water perfect for fishing Musky, Large and Small Mouth Bass and Walleye. 

Centrally located right downtown Minocqua, Lake Minocqua spans over 1,339 acres with a maximum depth of 60 feet. Lake Minocqua is home to historical houses, boathouses and landmarks including the Beacons Resort, the Min-Aqua Bats Water Ski Show and The Boathouse (previously known as Bosacki's). Lake Minocqua has access to gorgeous scenery, walking trails, great restaurants and events happening downtown. 

Just west of Lake Minocqua is the 700 acre Kawaguesaga Lake. A quieter sister of Lake Minocqua, Kawaguesaga is a perfect place to cruise and enjoy the sunset. With one of the oldest boys camps in Minocqua, Lake Kawaga, this lake offers tons of fun activities!

Sitting between Lake Minocqua and Tomahawk is Mid Lake with 221 acres and a maximum depth of 12 feet. The shallow waters draw musky and northerns to spawn every year making for a great lake to fish and enjoy natural wildlife.
